Wow.

More info! From HowStuffWorks:
Normal conversation: 60 dB
Lawn mower: 90 dB
Threshold of pain: 130 dB, depending on the person’s tolerance
LRAD maximum continuous volume: 162dB
And from Gizmodo:

The LRAD corporation says that anyone within a 100 meters of the device’s sound path will experience extreme pain. The version generally utilized by police department (the LRAD 500X) is designed to communicate at up to 2000 meters during ideal conditions. In a typical outdoor environment, the device can be heard for 650 meters. The 500x is also capable of short bursts of directed sound that cause severe headaches in anyone within a 300-meter range. Anyone within 15 meters of the device’s audio path can experience permanent hearing loss.
[…] Use of the device has come under fire because of the potential for permanent hearing loss. Human discomfort starts when a sound hits 120dB, well below the LRAD’s threshold. Permanent hearing loss begins at 130dB, and if the device is turned up to 140dB, anyone within its path would not only suffer hearing loss, they could potentially lose their balance and be unable to move out of the path of the audio. The device is also entirely operator dependent, which could lead to serious ramifications if the officer in charge doesn’t have sufficient training.

Emphasis mine. For people not on the metric system, 15 meters is a little under 50 feet. We don’t know how far they have it turned up, but from here we know that it is obviously enough to be very painful. Most of the time these are deployed, police aren’t afraid of going up close and personal within that range, hurting protesters— which, by the way, include children.

Well well well. As SSB4Dojo pointed out on their blog, it seems Spirit Train can be played on For Glory mode. Which means it must have a Final Destination version.

But how the heck does that work?

Glad to see they’ve implemented the hype train as a stage.

Honestly, it was overdue.

Possible smash leaks. If not real, VERY good fakes. Even has stages that were literally only just confirmed last night.

this is probably fake as hell but i do love the idea of duck hunt being a playable character! it’s very unique and cute and out of the blue

b….bowser jr…. p…please….

been following the thread on 4chan where the leaker was posting these images but there are some inconsistencies with it compared to what we’ve seen in demos of the 3DS version

as one anon explained:

Fake but good try.

Compare this to the screenshot with Pikachu as a CPU… The positioning is way different. This is more zoomed in and has less of his body.

Secondly, the one with the Diddy/Doge/Ness don’t have Icons behind their head.”

also, the background of greninja’s square is inconsistent with the coloring used in the demo

Angry Kirby gets a figure ⊟

After years of making super expensive Metroid and Zelda pieces, First 4 Figures is now turning its attention to Kirby — the company plans to release a whole line of super expensive figures based on the pink guy.

The first one is a 16-inch “Sword Kirby”, which will feature a limited edition (850 made) version with a light-up power effect for $240. The standard edition (2,000 made) is a bit less fancy without the LED on the sword’s power effect, but that one will only set you back $220. Both are available to preorder now and will release in the first quarter of 2015.
